Project Description
A multidisciplinary combination of music and science

We aim to initiate and conduct multi-disciplinary academic research combining music and brain research, music and data mining, music and psychology and education studies. Our research projects are in collaboration with well-known leading academic figures.
Music and Psychology Research – Testing the effectiveness of the Music for Dialogue model in improving interpersonal dialogue skills, using the model to diagnose personal and behavioral qualities, mainly related to dialogue skills, and assessing ways to strengthen those dialogue skills and personal empowerment.
Music and Brain Research – Investigating the influence of the Music for Dialogue model on neural processes of cognitive and emotional empathy. Such understanding may shed light into the intensification of interpersonal processes and may further serve as a basis for brain-informed therapies for disorders that involve abnormal social-cognition.
Music and Data Mining – Examining personality and behavioral characteristics by analyzing personal music preferences and its attached texts in the Music for Dialogue model. The research aims to link between a person’s personal and emotional traits and the characteristics of musical pieces and songs that are meaningful to them, with a purpose of intensifying/strengthening personal traits and qualities, mainly dialogue skills.
Music and Education – Using music in educational activities, music and self-identity among children and teenagers.
