Dialogue has many meanings, mostly around conversations and discussions aimed at reaching an agreement, compromise or understanding. Music for Dialogue focuses on the deeper level of interaction and connection between people – the ability and willingness to open up, to listen, to empathize and to accept the “other” and the willingness to collaborate with the “other” to promote common goals
Openness:
Opening up to others to express emotions, experiences, weaknesses, worries and struggles
Meaningful listening:
Respectful listening to others, what is important to them, the hidden meaning in their words, who they really are
Acceptance and empathy:
Accepting the other even if his/her opinions, beliefs and preferences are different than mine. With empathy we will also see things through the eyes of the other while understanding his/her feelings and emotions
Meaningful giving:
Giving from yourself from the bottom of your heart with no reward, for the sake of helping, bringing joy and cheer. “Songs as a Gift” as a unique project of giving heart to heart by gifting a song and a personal greeting
Joint social action:
Collaborative initiation and implementation of social and educational projects to promote dialogue through music in the public domain
